Nicolas Nimmegeers*

Nicolas Nimmegeers has been an attorneyat the Ghent Bar since 2020, joined Baker Tilly Law in 2023 and has been affiliated with the Brussels Bar since then.

He graduated from Ghent University in 2019 where he obtained his master’s degree in law and then completed an additional advanced master’s degree in company law at KU Leuven in 2020.

Nicolas advises companies, investors and shareholders in corporate law, with a particular focus on M&A transactions and corporate disputes. He assists M&A transactions across the full life cycle – from due diligence and negotiation to contracting, closing and post-deal follow-up. Nicolas acts in share deals and asset deals as well as mergers, demergers, joint ventures and other (re)structuring transactions.

In addition, Nicolas has ample experience in corporate law conflicts. He assists clients in disputes between shareholders and directors, including disputes on control, governance, exit and exclusion, directors’ liability and conflicts arising from acquisitions and restructurings. He also acts in court proceedings within these areas.

This combination of transactional and litgation expertise allows him to advise clients both strategically in restructuring and transactions and decisively when conflicts escalate.
